The trees are all in bloom and there’s butterflies galore 
The scent of blossoms fills the sky
The sun glows upon the sea 
But now in this strangest spring 
We feel what we can’t see

There’s more than pollen in the air 
The schools are shut the screens are up, the teachers do their thing
 The parents make the daily lists  that work for a day or two
 The kids want to play outside but is that slide infected too?

This strange spring means many wait 
All alone behind the glass
We show the world everything we know
We help, we learn, we share, we grow
WE wave, we text, we text, we call
We wait for when this too shall pas  

We’re all together, somehow
We are all so alone 
Neverfelt so isolated before, never needed so much my home
We stand in harmony
